Being a mom is really not an easy job especially when you are a working mom like me. I have two kids a girl and a boy. It's really hard for me because I am a single mom doing the a role of a responsible mom for them. It's a good thing that there's someone who is willing to help me in taking care of them. I can understand of your situation now.

It DOES take us 2 hours to get out the door. I have two little kidlets, it takes me an hour to get myself and "the stuff" ready then another hour to get the wee-ones ready. Phew! it makes me tired just thinking about it.

ugh, I feel your pain. We are late or make it right on the dot for every single doctor's appointment. I think we have made it early to only one appointment in the last five. what is it with these doctors appointments that makes me run so late?!

I read your painful story of breastfeeding with such mixed reactions. I am an IBCLC breastfeeding advocate. I was also a "first time" breastfeeding mom with cracked and bleeding nipples and still cringe (30 years later) when I think of the first month of breastfeeding my first child! I saw moms in the hospital and on well baby visits at home (I'm a Public Health Nurse)who had no problems at all and wondered what I had done or not done. I was very lucky, I had a fellow worker who helped me get a much better latch and when my nipples healed life was much better. I also had a very supportive husband who insisted that I continue because it was what I had originally wanted. So to make a long story shorter, YOU DID WELL to give your son breastmilk for the first month of his life. CONGRATULATE yourself on the liquid gold you gave him! You can not change the past, so please remember the positive from the experence. You have experience under your belt. Your next attempt will be successful! Get lots of help from more than one breastfeeding expert and remember, the first month is the hard part, it's just you and baby after that. Joanie
