My Cloth Diapering Journey Begins with AppleCheeks *
Have you heard of AppleCheeks diapers?
I am not particularly crunchy, or granola, or green. I mean, I get it, and I wish I had more of these leanings, but speaking in adjectives, I think I’m probably more on the soggy side, so when Katie, a representative from AppleCheeks diapers emailed me recently and asked me if I had ever considered cloth diapering, I was taken somewhat by surprise. Seriously? Cloth diapers?
I admitted to Katie that I had never really considered using cloth diapers, then, followed up with a barrage of questions, most of them involving poop. I mean, there are a lot of questions to be answered about poop (ahem, flushable liners!), stains, and washing, you know?
After clicking over to the AppleCheeks diapers website, and doing a little research about their system, I was left with a few thoughts. My first thought was holy wow, these diapers are cute. I am not going to kid you by pretending that the following considerations trump the cute factor, because they really don’t, however, I do love the idea of saving money, preserving the environment, and putting safer materials next to my baby’s skin.
Now, back to the cute. Just… look.
From the AppleCheeks diapers website:
New advances in textile technology allow for amazingly trim fitting washable diapers that unstuff by themselves in the wash!. Gone are the days of bulky plastic pants and saggy, wet bottoms. Pins and Snappis are a thing of the past. AppleCheeks cloth diaper bring you the ultimate in form and function, combining effective leak control with attractive styling. Imagine a dry bottom that actually looks good! Who knew? (from: applecheeks.com)
So, while I am a little nervous, I am going to give this a shot with our little girl when she is born in December. I’ve been reaching out to so many cloth diapering moms over the past few weeks, asking them pointed questions about their experience with cloth diapers, and trying to gauge whether or not this is something that I can handle. From what I am learning, cloth diapering is definitely doable for regular (non-superwoman) moms, and that the benefits are really incredible.
I am so excited to be working with AppleCheeks, and I feel like I was really lucky to have been contacted by this particular company. Almost every cloth diapering mom that I have reached out to for insight has confirmed that AppleCheeks is a fantastic brand, with a quality diaper and fabulous customer support. More to come as baby’s birth day draws near!
Disclosure: AppleCheeks diapers provided me with a selection of their products to try. Opinions are my own!

Cloth diapering saves us some dough! :) I love trying new cloth diapers!
My first child is due on February 17, and I will be using cloth diapers despite all the “naysayers” around me. They are better for baby, the world and also less expensive. I can’t wait to get started using them!
I love cloth diapers because of all the cute prints, the ease of use and the fact that there are less chemicals on my babies skin. I would love to try applecheeks as i’ve heard rave reviews of them!
I think this is a great idea! And adorable!!
I love cloth diapers, because they save us money!
What a cute way to join the environmentally friendly diapering movement!
I love that cloth diapers are great for the environment and many of them are made out of sustainable and/or organic materials!
There are so many things I love about cloth diapers. I love how much money I save using cloth diapers. I love how I am not adding to the landfill problem disposable diapers create. They are so easy to use and fashionable. They are gentle on my lo’s skin. Not one diaper rash since we switched. I recommend cloth diapers to all of my friends.
I LOVE cloth diapers b/c they are better for the environment, save me money and they’re cute!!
I have been use cloth diapers but a different brand exclusively, but am very interested in trying something new..which may work better.
I’m a crunchy mama wanna be and excited about cloth diapering!
I have heard a lot of great things about cloth diapers and would love to try them out when my newborn arrives, hopefully i can figure out how to get more once I get these:)
I’d love to try cloth diapers for my first (baby girl) due in december — and i love that these applecheeks have double snap for security

I love cloth diapering because it makes me feel good that I am not throwing away diapers to the landfill.
These are so cute…I’d love to win them for a coworker who was asking me about cloth diapering just a few days ago :)
I have tried different kinds of cloth diapers, and I have been wanting to try Applecheeks! It would be so awesome to not have to deal with stuffing or unstuffing the diapers. Plus, I love fluffy butts, but sometimes they just don’t fit in his clothes!
I love cloth diapers because they’re cute, eco-friendly, and save us $$!
We love cd’s, because they are what is best for our little guy! All the chemicals in disposables make my stomach turn. And you can’t deny that cloth diapers are oh, so cute!
We can’t wait to try cloth diapers with our little belly bean on the way! I realized that I was getting chemical burns from my disposable products and after trying cloth alternatives I swore that we would not subject another baby of ours to disposables unless we absolutely had to.
I love that my son hardly ever gets rashes!
I want to try Applecheeks because I have always read great reviews on them.
I love cloth mainly because of how much money it would save. I started cloth with #2 because we were on a tight budget, and my husband and I fell in love. We’ll be cloth diapering even when we have the money for disposables. They just seem like such a waste now! Yes, cloth is a little work. but it’s just different work. I mean, you work to pay for diapers, then you have to throw them out, plus, you have to keep going to the store and buying new ones, and then you have to store them all. Cloth is just a different kind of work. Totally worth it!
I love cloth diapering for so many reasons. The money, the cute fluffy butt, the fact that she isn’t sitting in chemicals, the fact that we aren’t throwing anything into landfills.
I have just started cloth diapering and would love to try out something other than the old fashioned flats on my son… I had someone give me a whole bunch of flats just before I sat down to my sewing machine and made flats out of old sheets… (yep trying to save money)
They look so cute on my little one’s bum AND no yucky chemicals!
I LOVE cloth diapers b/c they are adorable and gentle on my babies skin. Of course they are ‘green’ as well which is nice. I have yet to really save money b/c there are so many options and I am always looking to try them all…BUT, they have great resale value!! I’d really really LOVE to try applecheeks :)
I love Cloth diapering because of the many cute and affordable options there are out there! My toddler is now potty trained, but with another on the way I am looking forward to trying some new diapers this time around. I have never tried apple cheeks, but agree, they are adorable!
I love cloth diapering for lots of reasons, especially because of how incredibly cute they are on my little ones, and that I never run out of diapers anymore and have to make a late night run to Walmart. ;)
I love how cute they look!!
I like Applecheeks because they are a great fit for our little one.
I would love to have the Nature Clean Oxygen Bleach Powder
I love NOT having to throw things away! Cloth diapers can be more convenient than disposable. And I love that they enforce the need for consciousness in living.
I’d like to try applecheeks because I’m currently pregnant and due in january, I’m trying to get as many different types of cloth diapers as I can just so I can figure out what I like and what I don’t after he gets here :)
i would love to try cloth diapers because i think they would be better for my kids, and i would like ot see if we can save money by using cloth!
With my first son I figured up that I had spent around $4000 in diapers over the entire he was in them. With my second we decided to use cloth. For about $400 we have all the diapers he will ever need, can use them on our next child as well, can resell them when we are done, dont have the nasty bag of diapers to deal with, are helping the enviroment, and are keeping our baby in a chemical free dipe. They are so cute and so easy! Why not!?!?!?! I do NOT have any apple cheeks in my stash, but have been eyeing them for some time now. I would LOVE to give them a try!
Now having twins for the second time, I have debated whether I can handle cloth diapers. This systems looks so easy and great for the environment. I would love to try them.
I’ve been wanting to try Applecheeks for a while because my chunky baby really seems to do better with 2-size daiper systems. And who can resist those cute new prints??? :-D Thanks for the giveaway!
I love cloth diapering because there’s no more EBF poop squirting up & out the back of the diapers! They’re so cute! I haven’t tried an applecheeks diaper, but I would love to because their designs are adorable!
I love cloth Diapering, because, well… whats not to love? better for baby, wallet and PLANET!!
I’d love to try applecheeks because we had our daughter last month and I have had good intentions with trying out cloth diapers but have not gotten around to finding the right ones to buy yet!
i’m bringing my first little one into the world & i would love to try out applecheeks! i have only heard good things about them!
I think cloth diapers have a better feel and they do not cause rash as much as the throw aways

I love cloth diapers because they are better for the environment, better for baby, and you can get them in so many cute colors and prints.
These are soooooo adorable! Love them!
I love cloth diapers because they’re fun to co-ordinate with outfits and I like cutting down on the amount of waste we’re creating by limiting our use of disposables!
i want to try cloth diapers to save money. i don’t think i’ll mind the clean up.

I love the money I save!

We welcomed our first child in August and have been using Apple Cheeks on him. They’ve made cloth diapers manageable. We couldn’t be happier. Great product!
I would love to try apple cheeks. I have a few friends who brag about the quality and I’d love to try them out for myself. No diaper rashes and the colors rock!
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my applecheeks! Theyre so bright and cute!

I really like using cloth diapers they have been really good for my baby’s skin. Although I currently use fuzzibunz I would love to try applecheeks and see how they compare. Also to get my baby in the water I have been looking for a swim diaper. I hope I win ;).
I used old fashioned cloth diapers on all 4 of my kids when they were babies! These new diapers are SO cute and more sophisticated!
I’ve cloth diapered my dd for a little over a year and have yet to try an apple cheek I would love to though!!
We LOVE cloth diapering! We cloth diaper our 17 month old girl, and are pregnant with a boy and due in March! Gotta get stocked up on some cute BOY colors and patterns, I’m so excited!
My accountant husband LOVES the cost savings factor, I love the fact that all those chemicals aren’t touching her bottom.
