Bloggers get the weirdest emails *

I woke up this morning to greet a familiar Gmail inbox, filled with a mix of jewels and junk.

One email in particular stood out today as the award winner for the most random thing I’ve received all week.

Frank Seninsky of Amusement & Entertainment Consulting Services wrote me this morning regarding a random bowling alley that was renovated in Saginaw, Michigan. Um, OK. Clearly, this is the kind of story a mom blogger from Ohio would be interested in.

funny pr pitch

Just look at the masterpiece of the after shot. I mean, it’s such a stark contrast, right?

I only have one thing to say, Frank. Bravo. Bravo.

  3. Hahahaha! Wow. I look forward to the day that I start getting gems like this! The weirdest thing I’ve gotten is someone asking me for diet advice… when I have a photo blog. That’s only half – maybe a fourth – as weird.

  6. This totally made me crack up. Mostly the dude clapping at the end. Seriously, we could create a whole blog dedicated to weird pitches, huh? Love this.

  9. Hilarious! I live about 30 minutes from Saginaw and I have no idea where that photo is from. Geesh, it kind of gives the old Mitten a bad name… :)

Ha ha! I get random “press releases” for stuff like that too. Most of the time if it’s not relevant to my readers or just shameless self promotion, I ignore it.

  16. Oh my gosh- I haven’t gotten any like this, but I have gotten the weirdest emails from companies like an “award” that I can put in my sidebar but actually is just a way to get a free link and doesn’t actually lead my readers to an “editor’s choice” page but a sales page…shady!

  17. That is pretty strange! Maybe it’s better for me that I’m not such an established blogger!
