Dear Crissy

Caden Lane: Stylish nursery decor

I always love finding boutiques that offer a unique selection of finer baby gifts and nursery decor. When I first stumbled onto Caden Lane, I could tell immediately, thanks to their adorable site design, that the folks behind this brand had great taste. Upon exploring their offerings further, I found a beautiful assortment of products for little ones including amazing diaper bags for moms, crib bedding and blankets, bibs and burp cloths, shopping cart covers, and tutus for your girly-girl.

For this review, Caden Lane sent me their Classic Red Circle Hooded Towel & Washcloth Set. When I pulled the towel out of its packaging, I found it neatly folded, and accented with a pretty brown satin ribbon bearing the Caden Lane logo. I immediately thought that the extra touch of the ribbon would add nicely to the presentation if you were giving this piece as a baby shower gift. I appreciate when companies take the time include those special finishing touches.

Baby Shower Gifts

I tried the towel a few nights ago after bathing Evan. While I didn’t photograph it, the hooded towel comes with a matching washcloth as well, which is a nice size and weight. The towel was a good size too–something I appreciate since my little baby isn’t so little anymore! Many of the hooded towels that I purchased for him as a newborn are now just absolutely too small for him to use.

One side of the towel is a white cotton terry cloth, and the other a cute decorative fabric. The towel is finished with a pretty brown satin edging, again, love those special touches! I found the towel to be very soft and absorbent, better than many of the other baby towels we have, which tend not to be as thick as I would like.

I just love this hooded towel and washcloth set! It is truly one of the nicest bathing accessories that I have found, and it’s so nice to have another hooded towel that works for Evan now that he’s past the newborn phase. This towel would be great for newborns as well, however, is large enough to grow with your baby, which is something any mom can appreciate! I’m also adding this item to my personal list of baby shower must have’s, as I think any expecting mom would appreciate this functional and stylish gift! After reading the review, I checked out their site; I’m a big fan of the hooded towels- though they do seem thinner than usual. This may also make them softer though. Some of there stuff is a little too frilly to me, I’m more of a
modern decorator, bright colors engage best, but too much clutter on patters is hard to pair with other fabrics and products. The tutu bow holders are really cute though. Thanks for sharing!

After reading your review a went to check out the website too. It gave me the feeling that I just walked in a boutique. I totally loved the diaper bags, the hooded towels looked amaizing and since my baby is no longer a newborn it would be nice to have a towel that actually covers more than his head and back, the bibs are really stylish and love that some of them have the velcro closure on the side, which makes your life a little bit easier. I like that they don’t use baby prints (you know: little trucks, animals, etc…) but I find they kind of abuse the patterns in the fabrics the use for the bedding for example; like Jenna I think there’s too much going on in just one item with all the differents patterns.

Thanks for sharing! I love your blog! you always make me come back!
