I don’t attempt to hide the fact that I’m a fan of cake mix cookies. In fact, my cake mix cookie bars recipe over on my other blog, Parent Pretty, is one of my most popular recipes!

No, I don’t bake with cake mixes exclusively (though it’s not the worst idea!), I do love the results, including these soft, chewy, and delicious chocolate chip cake mix cookies!

I love thick, soft cookies.

In fact, I will alway choose a soft cookie over a crispy one. This chocolate chip cake mix cookies recipe produces small but thick cookies that taste great with a big glass of cold milk.

There are really so many ways you could change this recipe to make it unique, including mixing-in M&M’s instead of chocolate chips, or adding some chopped walnuts in with the chocolate chips.

This is such a simple recipe, but, one of my favorites. Chocolate chip cookies will always be my favorite type of cookies—in fact—I’m having a craving just looking at these images and talking about these yumming chocolate chip cake mix cookies! Yum!

Ingredients:

1 box yellow cake mix

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/3 cup butter, softened

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips


Directions:

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Empty cake mix into a large bowl set aside. In a small bowl whisk together the eggs and vanilla, pour into cake mix, add the butter. Beat with and electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Using a wooden spoon, stir in the chocolate chips a little at a time.


2.Drop by rounded tablespoons 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.


3. Bake 9 to 11 minutes, or until edges are set. Cool for 1 minute, then transfer to a wire rack.
