Make Your Coffee Merry & Bright

I love the holiday season every bit as much today as I did when I was a child. In fact, now that I’m a mother, I probably love this time of year even more!

The holidays in my small Ohio town remind me of an old-timey postcard.

That’s not to say that this time of year doesn’t bring with it a whole lot of hustle and bustle, but I’m pretty good at cutting through the chaos and focusing on what is important. For me, what makes the season special is the time I get to spend with my family and my own personal rituals that make the season feel extra-cozy.

One way I love to bring a little holiday spirit into my life is by adding a special twist to my favorite Starbucks® coffees. This year, I’m really loving Starbucks Peppermint Mocha Caffe Latte K-Cup® pods and Starbucks Holiday Blend and Starbucks Holiday Blend K-Cup® pods, all available at Walmart.

Sure, every flavor of Starbucks that you make at home tastes great, but why not dress-up that mug just a little? Tis’ the season for special little indulgences, and I have a couple tricks up my sleeve that will have you feeling inspired to create your own moments of joy around a perfectly crafted mug of Starbucks coffee.

Isn’t my cup festive? You can take your Starbucks Peppermint Mocha Caffe Latte K-Cup® pods to the next level by melting some white chocolate, dipping the rim of your mug, and then dipping once more in a few crushed peppermint candies.

This is such a cute way to make your cup of coffee special. It’s even better if you make a second one for someone you love!

Quick tip, you can make these ahead and keep the mugs in the refrigerator until it’s time to brew your coffee. You’ll also want to avoid filling the cup too full, as the hot coffee will begin to melt the chocolate pretty quickly.

Of course, a little melted white chocolate and peppermint in your mug is a pretty delicious mug-malfunction!

You can add a bit of charm and sweetness to a hot mug of Starbucks Holiday Blend by floating a couple toasted marshmallows on top!

Just spray a cookie sheet with a bit of cooking spray, add a few marshmallows and place under the broiler for 1-2 minutes. The toasting happens quite quickly, so be ready with that oven mitt!

The toasty marshmallows in the mug are simply adorable, and make your Holiday Blend even more delightful—if that’s even possible. :)

I love creating these special mugs of Starbucks coffee for my husband when we’re winding down in the evening. It turns a mundane weeknight into a really beautiful moment to tuck away in our memory banks. I dare say, it’s even a little romantic.

Cue the snow and jingle bells, we’ve got some Christmas magic happening here!

Be sure to grab these wonderful Starbucks flavors the next time you’re in Walmart. They are so very yummy. I hope I’ve inspired you to get creative with your coffee this holiday season.
