Cool tech: Energizer Inductive Charger
We have a serious problem with cell phone charging in our home. Almost every day, at least once a day, someone is on a mad hunt for a charger, either for the house, or one of our cars. How are we able to lose cell phone chargers so easily? Who knows. It’s a problem that rivals lost left socks in our family!
Luckily, since we started using the Energizer Inductive Charger last month, we’ve been able to easily plop our cell phones onto the charging pad, and not have to worry about tracking down an elusive charging cord! I love having a home-base for our cell phones to charge, and let’s face it, this charger looks pretty cool sitting on the desk as it does its job.
The Energizer Inductive Charger uses Qi technology. What is Qi?
Qi (pronounced chee), is the new universal standard for inductive charging. It’s a common language for the inductive chargers and devices to talk to one another. So any device with a Qi-enabled accessory or with Qi built in directly into it can charge on any Qi inductive charging pad. Inductive charging is what happens when two devices–one designed to send power and the other designed to recieve it–touch one another and energy is transferred between them.
The Energizer Inductive Charger requires a sleeve that fits over your phone. My husband has an iPhone 3GS, and I have an iPhone 4. One of the cool aspects of this charging system, is that you can actually leave the sleeve on your phone as a sort of protective case (it contains no magnets), and we both really like how the sleeves look on our cell phones.
If you are looking for an innovative, easy way to charge your cell phones, check out the Energizer Inductive Charger!
Disclosure: I received an Energizer Inductive Charger at no cost for review. Opinions are my own.
