Dear Crissy - Life, blogged.

Jumperoo is a beautiful word

Jumperoo

It is time. She is big enough for the Jumperoo. She is big enough for the Jumperoo!

If you have a kid, you’re probably familiar with the word Jumperoo. There are similar pieces of baby gear out there, but I can tell you from experience that the real-deal Fisher Price Jumperoo is where it’s at.

In fact, when I found out I was pregnant with Kara last April, one of the first thoughts that crossed my mind was that I wished I hadn’t sold Evan’s Jumperoo in a yard sale.

Luckily, I have had the opportunity to check out the new Fisher Price Luv U Zoo Jumperoo, which is among the list of Moms’ First Year Favorites.

This list features the top 10 baby must-haves, as selected by BabyCenter moms, and I can strongly agree that these products are essential.

My thoughts on the Fisher Price Luv U Zoo Jumperoo

The Jumperoo is quite easy to put together, and should only have your husband tied up for about ten minutes. :)

We were in love with the Rainforest Jumperoo when Evan was a baby, but I think the Luv U Zoo is actually cuter, if that is possible.

Kara is pretty tiny for her age, so she’s not quite ready to rock-and-roll, but it is so nice to have something different to place her in. She is able to reach the toys, and was totally enthralled with all of the lights, sounds, and brightly colored toys.

I always feel good about placing my baby in a piece of Fisher Price baby gear, and this Jumperoo is no exception. I also love how supportive and soft the seat is on this product.

The top 10 baby must-haves — do you agree?

From this list, we also have the Fisher Price Starlight Cradle n’ Swing, and the Rainforest Bouncer — both are products that are definitely vital to our daily life with a fuss-butt baby.

Have I mentioned that Kara is colicky? Yeah. Swings, bouncers, Jumperoo’s, we need em’ all in this house. Anything to please the princess!

My items in order of importance were 9, 1 , 7, and 2.

I had to have a breast pump in order to return to work. The baby swing saved my very sanity when faced with a colicy baby. The activity mat is something I am seeing of great importance in helping our little preemie guy develop skills and the bouncer…well, just something that helps keep baby happy while you can do some laundry, pay bills, pre prepare dinner, etc

It’s been different with each child!

For #1: It was her Baby Papasan Chair!

For #2: It was our baby carrier!

For #3: We would have been lost with his NUK!

We’re due with #4 in a couple months!

My first baby loved it at the daycare center, and I have yet to get one from my second little girl! Winning one would be a treat for sure! Nothing like a happy, bouncing baby!

My kids BOTH rejected the swing! And a breast pump is top of my list, being able to give my girls milk while I worked full time = priceless!

We have a swing and a bouncer and they were great for the the first few weeks. We still use the bouncer for Alba to lay in if she wants to relax and play with a toy.
A carrier is a must for us. My son adored his rainforest jumperoo and my daughter is using it now and we would have a pretty unhappy baby without it. We love our play mat, but I wouldn’t say that it’s a must have. And a breast pump for sure is a must have for breast-feeding moms. I am almost 5 months into breast-feeding and I don’t use it anymore, but I would have not made it without it
during the first two months. I still have it for emergencies.

I have a baby with special needs, and he could not lift his head for many months of his life. For me, the feeding positioner was a lifesaver because I could use different positioners to help prop him so he could breathe right, etc. Activity gyms were also great for practicing skills. I know most families love baby carriers, but for us, our baby could never use one.

Every mom needs an amazing diaper bag that will fit all of the big and little things that you can’t get through a trip out of the house without!! Every mom should also have a swing and a vibrating bouncer seat!!!! We would have been lost without ours for our 3rd child!!

The number one item, for me, anyway, I’d have to say a crib, which I noticed wasn’t on the list….

We just had a bouncer for our baby, but then borrowed a jumperoo from a friend. They are both definitely necessary! I like that I can put her in the jumperoo and now that she’s mobile, she stays put!

the one baby item I needed with every one of my kids was an activity walker/saucer. They’re very handy at times that I need to do something like dishes or folding laundry.

for both of my children a swing was a must have. I love my children but I did my best to have them be a little less held dependent. I could have never been able to do house work if it wasn’t for a swing to occupy them.
