Dear Crissy

What I love about the Buick Enclave

I recently had the opportunity to spend a week behind the wheel of this absolutely lovely 2012 Buick Enclave — the color is Carbon Black Metallic — pretty sweet, right?

It’s funny that GM recommended the Buick Enclave for our family, because this is the vehicle that my husband and I are always admiring while we are on the road. In fact, we’ve had wistful exchanges about the Buick Enclave more times than I can count.

Also funny?

We had torrential rains every single day that I had the Buick Enclave in my possession. I wish that we would have had warm weather and blue skies, or even cold, grey, dry weather, but we didn’t. Luckily, I was still able to take some pretty photos, and the Enclave handled perfectly in the soggy conditions.

What I love about the outside

Well, come on. Seriously? The Buick Enclave is a curvaceous, chrome-enhanced beauty. This car — visually — offers the perfect mix between strength and romance, meaning my husband and both look like we were born to be behind the wheel.

High five on a vehicle that is clearly a parent-mobile, but that doesn’t look like a parent-mobile!

The Buick Enclave doesn’t look like other cars on the road, and that’s what I really love about it.

What I love about the inside

This SUV screams luxury. In fact, when I first sunk into the drivers seat, slid my hands over the steering wheel, and inhaled that intoxicating new-car-smell, I swear I had a moment where I wondered why I had never owned a car this nice before.

To keep it real, I know why I’ve never bought a car as nice as the Buick Enclave before, and it has everything to do with money. However, you really do get what you pay for, and as our family continues to grow, I am seeing that making a serious investment in a family SUV of this caliber would be a smart move for us in the long run.

Plus? I deserve a ride like this!

Allow me to snap out of my family, and return to what I love about the inside of the Buick Enclave.

Every detail is gorgeous. The mahogany inlaid steering wheel, leather seating, and an incredible touch-screen activated navigation and rea-view camera systems are among my favorite features.

Our toddler also adored the DVD player, once again, a luxury perk that I never realized we were missing until we experienced it. Talk about making family car rides more pleasant!

My thoughts overall

This 2012 GM Buick Enclave is obviously stylish, but it also makes me feel incredibly safe. I was thoroughly impressed with the way the car handled on our curvy rural roads — even in the rain!

With plenty of leg room for our two kids, the Buick Enclave is the perfect daily driver for our family, and it would also make a great vehicle for taking family road trips in the summer.

I’ve never been overly interested in cars, but after driving this one, I know why. It’s because I’ve never owned a luxury vehicle, so I didn’t know what I was missing.

I know now, and it is definitely missing from my life!

So, the rainy week didn’t get the best of my week with the Buick Enclave, and besides, the rain droplets make the photos look kind of interesting.

I seriously love this SUV.

Have you driven a Buick Enclave, or just drooled as one passed you on the road?

I was provided with this lovely 2012 Buick Enclave for a week to facilitate this review. All opinions are genuine, and my own. Thanks GM!

This is WAY sweeter than my first Buick, which was a ’68 Skylark (older than me!) and seated about 20.

Now that’s a nice car!! I love that brown/black color combo. I’ll have to keep this in mind the next time we’re in the market. :-)

Never thought about driving a Buick before. They always seemed like my “grand parents” car type of company. They have allot of competition, but your review was excellent and it made me think. I drive an SUV, but the inside doesn’t look like that.

The pictures were a great selling point and made me a believer. Will I buy one, not sure, I have to get over the grandparent look, but this car screams cuteness!

What’s NOT to love about it? i agree with Henry Ford in one thing…you can sell me any color vehicle as long as it’s black! i like how easy it is to park in smaller spaces!

I love this SUV. I saw the one in the metalic coco color and fell in love. I would like to trade my Yukon on one but right now is not a good time for my family of seven. Thanks for shareing this with us.
