Gussy Sews Giveaway! *

Well, I am officially one of the cool kids. I have scored an adorable little ruffly iPad case from Gussy Sews, and oh boy, let me tell you that it is even cuter and more ruffilicious (I struggled on the spelling of this made-up adjective, just go with me) than what I had anticipated. If we’re running in the same Twitter circles, you’re probably familiar with @GussySews, but on the off chance that you haven’t been introduced to this sassy, sewing, super-cool chick, I’ll share a snippet from her totally inspiring biography. Oh, and stick with me on this, because I have a special giveaway to share that you’re all going to just love!

I sat down at my kitchen table two years ago with a huge pile of library books and a borrowed sewing machine (thanks, mom & dad!). I had recently discovered Etsy and thought learning how to sew would be amazing, yet had no clue that a few months later my husband and I would both lose our jobs, would be unemployed for 7 months (not our greatest memory), and then move 600 miles from family to pursue the only job offer we received. shortly after moving to Minnesota from Michigan we decided it was time to quit my day job to sew full time. Oh, yes :) it’s been almost 7 months since I left my day job for Gussy Sews. to avoid looking like a crazy crafter, let me wrap this up with this simple sentence: “I love my job!” – Maggie Whitley / Gussy Sews

How cool is that story? I am so motivated when I run into women like Maggie (a.k.a. Gussy) Whitley, whether it is in my every day life, or online. It is so refreshing to see someone who really took a leap and followed her passion.

Gussy’s passion is also evident in her beautiful handmade totes, laptop bags, and headbands. The fabrics and patters she chooses for her pieces are just bursting with energy, color, and charm. This is feel-good fashion!

This zipped pouch is made from a gorgeous gold/pink kaleidoscope print and includes our signature ruffle in red; the inside is lined with cream fabric and closes with a cream zipper. Your iPad will be protected with an inside layer of padding. Measures 8.5″ x 10″.
