I really love hand making gifts for family and friends. It started when I was a kid and I used fabric scraps, recycled blue jeans and my burgeoning embroidery/woodworking/soldering skills to make Christmas gifts for my mom, dad and siblings. It continued as my siblings started marrying and adding nieces & nephews to our family. I now use my sewing, crochet and cooking skills for gifts. I used to work for a local community ed/lifelong learning program and we had a teacher who taught classes making products similar to these recipes.
