How to clean a bulb syringe: Q-Tips Precision Cotton Swabs

It has been a long, cold winter. For our family, it has also been a winter that has included several bothersome colds.

Unfortunately, even our new little winter baby Kara has had some sinus issues that have caused us to bring out the trusty bulb syringe to help clear her nasal passages.

There is really nothing more heartbreaking than a newborn who can’t breathe!

How to clean a bulb syringe

So, we all know how to use the bulb syringe to clear baby’s nose, however, I have a great tip for cleaning the bulb syringe using Q-Tips Precision Cotton Swabs! We use our bulb syringe so much, that I have to clean it a few times a day. After each use, I use a Q-Tips Precision Tips, which is nicely tapered at both ends, to clear any blockage at the opening of the syringe.

You would be amazed how much this simple extra step can help keep this vital tool clean, and in good working order!

After using the Q-Tips Precision Cotton Swab, I clean the bulb syringe with warm, soapy water, then squeeze out all the excess water and let it air dry.

My favorite use is using them to clean detail areas that a rag will not get to. I have ocd when it comes to dust. It drives me insane. Qtips work really well getting the dust out of crevices on the base board.

Probably the basic of cleaning ears.. But I use them for so many other things. Make-up touch up, removing fingernail polish, detail cleaning around the house.
