Winter Getaway: Kalahari Resorts Sandusky #WinterWaterPark
This post is sponsored by Kalahari Resorts Sandusky. Opinions are my own.
Last summer my husband and I packed up the car and made a short drive to Sandusky, Ohio to visit Kalahari Resorts Sandusky.
We were looking for a quick-trip vacation that would pack a big punch and give us plenty of experiences for our money. That’s exactly what we found when we showed up at Kalahari! It’s also why I’m seriously considering taking advantage of their current 2-Night Winter Weekend Getaway Special!
You may not have a waterpark on your radar during the cold winter months, but this is actually the PERFECT time to visit Kalahari.
I don’t know about you, but my family begins to slip into a bit of a winter funk by the time February rolls around. What better way to break through those winter blues than by having loads of fun splashing and playing at an enormous, state-of-the-art waterpark? I know that my kids would be happy to jump in the car for a trip to Kalahari any time.
We really enjoyed the outdoor waterpark when we went to Kalahari last summer but the indoor experience is absolutely incredible as well. You’ll feel like you’re in another world—a warm, tropical, fun world!
Kalahari Resorts are known for their premium, beyond expectations experience, and I can definitely attest to the fact that our expectations were exceeded when we visited last summer!
I love that the Kalahari Waterpark offers something for every member of the family, from the waterpark, to the fine dining and spa where the grownups can relax and rejuvenate.
Speaking of the spa, I am definitely going to check out Kalahari’s Halo Therapy next time! Salt therapy, or halotherapy, uses a halogenerator to vaporize pure salt into the air so it can be breathed deep into the lungs. The Kalahari salt therapy room contains pure organic Himalayan salt and a high-quality halogenerator to turn that pure salt into the salt vapor that provides so many health benefits! How relaxing does that sound?
While I didn’t get a chance to check out the Halo Therapy, Kara and I did get a nice Mommy and Me manicure. It was my daughter’s first manicure and it made her feel so pampered and special to have that experience with me. It was so nice to be able to slip down to the spa while my husband and son had a blast in the arcade!
The 2-Night Winter Getaway Special includes:
- Two night stay in a beautifully-appointed Hut or Desert Room for up to 4 guests
- Other room styles may be available for an additional cost per night
- One voucher for a 14″ single-topping Pizza & 4 fountain sodas (we had their pizza, it’s soooo good!)
- One $100 Big Game Room Arcade card (so fun for the whole family!)
- Admission to America’s Largest Indoor Waterpark for each registered guest!
After a fun-filled day at the waterpark you can see that Evan was really enjoying that comfy Kalahari bed!
I really can’t recommend a trip to Kalahari Sandusky enough, especially if you live within a few hours of the park.
Sometimes vacations can be a lot of work, especially if you have to drive all over the place to get to different attractions. What I love most about Kalahari is that you can literally park your car and then spend the remainder of your trip right there at the resort. No need to track all over the place to please everyone—it’s all right there!
If you decided to take your family to Kalahari this winter I hope you love it as much as my crew did!
