Kraft Foods Back to School Giveaway #KraftBTS *

Parents, would you agree that this has been an awesome summer? As much as most of us have adored the summer and extra time with our kids, it’s almost that time of year again — back-to-school time — that is!

The first week back to school can be an exciting but stressful time for the entire family. With so many things to prepare to get your little ones ready to face a new school year, some of the simple tasks at home can suffer.

Keep reading to find out how you can make the transition back-to-school a little easier within your home, and also how you can enter to win a fabulous back-to-school themed prize pack from Kraft Foods!

Getting ready for back-to-school week!

It’s important to focus on helping your child transition into his or her new school year, so when you feel a bit overwhelmed with all the hustle and bustle of that first week back, you can always look for ways to simplify — especially in the kitchen.

Pack your kids’ lunches the night before to save stress in the morning, and plan your family dinners for the entire week — making sure you have all the ingredients you need for meals on hand.

It may take a few weeks to get your school-year routine established, particularly if you have more than one child in school, but you’ll find that you can settle into the new schedule in no time

Thankfully, I haven’t had any kids in school yet. However, I used to be a teacher and it was pure chaos that week before going back to school. I would always have to pack my meals the night before so I would be sure to have something to take. I would also make sure my bags were ready to go with all the school materials that I would need for the next day or week. Thanks!

I like to be organized with everything I do so it comes naturally to get everything in order way before school starts. People probably think I’m crazy but I had all my kids stuff purchased and organized in their back packs with names written on them by the 1st week in July. The week before school I just have to make sure the kids are on the right schedule and emotionally accept that my kids are growing up and don’t need me as much as the year before.

I would just LOVE to be prepared with everything needed for the 1st day back to school. However, I think the school system is freaking retardo! The various teachers never tell you what you need until about a week into the school year, by then there is nothing left but scraps.
With that said, I always end up buying too much, and can never find it the next year.
    What a waste really.
I mean, they no longer mail report cards out, you have to go online for everything. So, at least list the necessities online. Sheesh.

We start by getting the sleep routine turned back around. Each night we start our night routine a little earlier, then in the mornings we get up and moving at the school time.

I am a teacher so I make the most of my summer. I make sure to rest and relax before school starts and then I buckle down and organize my classroom by working non-stop. I draw out a map ahead of time to help me get ready.
