LEGO DUPLO Read & Build *

Lego Duplo Read & Build

There are just a few major toy brands that are my go-to choices when it comes to buying toys for the kids, and LEGO is definitely at the top of that list.

This week, we were able to try out a LEGO DUPLO Read and Build set. We received the Busy Farm Read & Build set, which is perfect for us since Evan is a huge fan of barnyard animals!

How does LEGO DUPLO Read & Build work?

It’s simple. You receive a book and bricks. You read the book with your child, and the story provides simple, clear instructions for building the characters within the story. For the busy farm, this sweet little pig was one of our characters. Keep reading to find out how you can win LEGO DUPLO’s Read & Build for your child!

Lego Duplo Read & Build

As you can see from the photo below, the directions for building the animals are perfect for toddlers, and each animal is comprised of just 3-5 bricks.

Evan was easily able to help me assemble animals. I loved spending this time with him and it gave me a really easy way to provide some structured learning and play.

Lego Duplo Read & Build

I just love the idea of bringing a 3-dimensional element to story time. This really brings your child’s imagination to life, and we even continued the story line with our own imaginary farm-animal-antics when the book ended!

When the story is done, let your child create some free-form creatures with the blocks for even more fun. We made some interesting 3-eyed monsters!

Lego Duplo Read & Build

I really love LEGO DUPLO’s Read and Build, and this is one toy I plan to keep tucked away for Kara. She’ll be ready to read and build in no time too!

Enter to win a LEGO DUPLO Read and Build set!

LEGO is offering a Read and Build set to one lucky Dear Crissy reader! Enter below, good luck!

As a family, we adore Legos of all kinds. But the Duplo style are perfect for little hands. The sets that are really intricate are too detail oriented yet for my two. I like that they keep the Duplo sets simple and easy to put together.
