Life’s Amazing Moments *

I haven’t slept in weeks.

Really, I haven’t had much quality of sleep in years, and if you’re a mom, you know what I’m talking about. Taking care of small children is hard, especially when you have two kids like mine who NEVER SLEEP.

That said, of course, motherhood is also filled with so many beautiful, perfect, and amazing moments. Our family had a lot of amazing life moments this week as we ventured out on a mini-vacation for the first time as a family of four.

It was a really low-key vacation. We stayed in a cabin in the Hocking Hills, and Evan had some amazing fun just playing outside in some new terrain. I love this photo of him jumping and playing in the dirt.

Evan also roasted his first hot dog over a fire, and ate his first s’more. It’s so awesome to share simple moments like this with my children, and it really is amazing to have the opportunity to see the world through their eyes.

So, yes, being a mom is hard, and I haven’t slept in YEARS. It’s hard, but it’s worth it, and the amazing life moments like the ones we shared as a family this week are a testament to that.
