7 Ways to Live Full in 2017 #LiveFull

You can make positive changes in your life at any time during the year, but there’s just so much potential in the month of January.

It’s a fresh start with limitless possibilities, so why not choose to #LiveFull this year?

Instead of setting specific resolutions for 2017, I’m partnering with Yoplait to share seven ways I’m planning to #LiveFull in the New Year.

For me, that means slowing down, practicing some much-needed self-care, and focusing on the moments in my life that are meaningful to me. It also means having snacks around that will keep me full and focused through the day.

While you and I may have a different vision of what it means to live full, I’m going to share the seven ways I’m practicing a #LiveFull philosophy this year.

Feel free to utilize the ideas and tips that resonate with you, or, simply use this post as a thought-starter in your own life. It’s really all about taking those small steps toward living a more joyful and satisfied life.

  1. Nourish & Sparkle

    This year, I’m going to listen to my body.

    When I start feeling hungry between breakfast and lunch, I’m going to give myself the time to enjoy a nutritious snack.

  2. Chug & Glow

    Focusing once again on what goes into my body, I’m making more of an effort this year to stay hydrated.

    Drinking more water is such a simple (and inexpensive) step toward feeling and looking your best. It’s also a step that I’ve been neglecting lately, so on my mission to #LiveFull, it’s my goal to drink at least 64 ounces of water each day. I’m even mixing it up by infusing fresh fruit in my water—yum!

  3. Sweet Dreams

    I have a confession to make. I stay up waytoo late almost every night. As a parent of young kids, it sometimes feels like late nights are my only chance to score some alone time.

    I’m making a small change here by going to bed one hour earlier than I usually do. I know that the time I spend in dreamland is so important for my mental and physical health, and that I’ll reap the benefit of the additional sleep when I wake up feeling rested and ready to start my day.

  4. Positive Affirmations

    Okay, so, this may make you feel a little silly the first time you do it, but trust me, it’s so impactful on your day! Take just a moment each morning to look at yourself in the mirror and say one positive thing about your life. Here are a couple examples.

  5. I am happy and content at this moment in my life.

    I am uniquely beautiful.

    I am a great mom because I love my children with my whole heart.

    I’ve found that these simple affirmations really set a great tone for my whole day!

  6. Be Present

    For me, living full in 2017 is going to include more quiet moments with my friends and family. In fact, I’m making the specific effort to set my phone to do not disturb while I’m spending time with the kids. Those emails and social media notifications can wait!

  7. Me-Time Matters

    What do you love to do? Whether it’s running, gaming or knitting, try to carve out some precious time during the week to indulge in your favorite activities. We all need those quiet moments to think and decompress.

    For me, I’m getting into the daily habit of reading again. I used to love to read, but over the past few years I’ve allowed myself to be too busy for it.

    I have a stack of digital books waiting for me on my e-reader and I’m so eager to dive into a few great titles this month and beyond!

  8. Give Yourself A Break

    It’s last on my list but really, it’s a big theme in my life right now. I’m really coming to terms with the fact that while I do some things really well, I can’t be everything to everyone. This year, instead of feeling guilty or inferior, I’m going to cut myself some slack. Refer to number four on my list to be reminded of those positive affirmations!
