As much as I LOVE the holiday season, I’ve found that the struggle to buy great toys for my kids is very real.

It’s easy to become overwhelmed by a barrage of toy advertisements during this time of year, and it can be a struggle to know which toy trends to follow. That’s why I’m really happy to share the Mega Bloks Block Scooping Wagon with you, which has become one of my favorite toy choices for the holidays this year!

Over the years, learned my lesson when it comes to buying toys for my kids during the holidays. I try to think beyond the Christmas morning wow-factor and go for toys that are exciting for my kids but also offer hours of creative play possibilities.

In this digital world, I love toys that remind me of the ones I used to play with as a child: bright, fun and engaging toys that will keep my little ones entertained while also teaching them the basics about color, shapes, counting and organization.

My 4-year-old, Kara, loves to make things with her hands. Whether it’s cutting and pasting a craft, stringing beads onto a necklace or even just playing with sticks and rocks in our driveway, Kara has the heart of a designer!

It’s one of the reasons why I’m loving the Mega Bloks Block Scooping Wagon. The colorful wagon picks up blocks when you push it, so even after those towers come tumbling down, kids will have plenty of fun picking up all of the pieces and doing it over again.

A fold-out, easy-to-grip handle features a buildable section, and you’ll also get a bag loaded with 20 First Builders blocks in classic colors, offering kiddos plenty of building possibilities. It’s also compatible with your other Mega Bloks sets, so there is definitely room to grow the collection.

For over 30 years, Mega Bloks construction toys have been loved by children and trusted by parents all over the world. Those iconic blocks, perfect for little fingers, inspire creativity amongst toddlers all while fostering early childhood developmental benefits.

This toy is suited ideally for kids ages 1-5, but don’t mention that age range to my 7-year-old though, because he actually really loves playing with these blocks as well!

That’s the great thing about toys that foster creative and imaginative play. They just give kids so many opportunities to flex their minds, try new things, and have a blast while doing it.

This is also a really great toy idea for the grandparents, aunts and uncles who may be reading. I know that my parents are always looking for a list of toy ideas around this time of year. My mom says she never knows what to get for my kids, and I have to agree, it can be overwhelming with all of the choices out there.

When it comes down to it, the Mega Bloks Block Scooping Wagon is a great choice because your kids are actually going to play with it for more than five seconds. It’s not a toy that is going to disappear at the bottom of the toy box, never to be seen again.

Just the fact that this toy is part WAGON makes it a prized possession for toddlers. My son dragged a wagon around our house for three years straight. Every day, dragging that wagon here and there. Trust me, simplicity is gold and your toddler or preschool age child is going to get hours of fun out of this toy.

It’s also one of those toys that you’ll want to plop yourself down on the floor to play with, too! Kara and I love making Mega Bloks cities and then crushing them with imaginary dragons.
