Mrs. Prindable’s Gourmet Apples *
I was first introduced to Mrs. Prindable’s Gourmet Apples on QVC several years ago.
I don’t watch home shopping channels a lot, but I was drawn in when I saw Mrs. Prindable’s decadent caramel and chocolate encrusted apples. I always meant to order one, but just never got around to it.
Imagine my glee when I received an email from a representative at Mrs. Prindable’s a couple months ago, asking if I would like to try an apple and discuss my opinions here on Dear Crissy. Of course, I jumped at the chance!
I was able to sample the Triple Chocolate Caramel Apple and a Milk Chocolate Walnut Pecan Caramel Jumbo Apple. Whew, that was a mouthful… a delicious mouthful!
As you can see, when you cut into a Mrs. Prindable’s apple the sight is even more gorgeous than the beauty of the untouched apple. Apples are such a sweet, beautiful, and delicious fruit on their own that the whole apple-eating experience is taken to a new level by Mrs. Prindable’s and their yummy coatings.
I was happy to see that the apple wedges generally stayed in tact when cutting, and while there were some chocolate and nut crumbs, it was fairly simple to serve the slices.
The apple itself was just as sweet and juicy as I had hoped, and the caramel, chocolate and nuts tasted fresh and delicious.
One thing I will say is that one apple really goes a long way. Mrs. Prindable’s Jumbo Apples weigh approximately 1.5 lbs. and each apple serves 8-10 people. The apples appear much smaller than they actually are online and on TV — trust me — they are huge and go a long way.
Mrs. Prindable’s Gourmet Apples are simply scrumptious and make a gorgeous gift. This product is definitely going on my list for holiday gifts this year!
