Dear Crissy - Life, blogged.

My ‘Iron Man 3′ Hollywood red carpet premiere El Capitan Theatre experience

Red Carpet Premiere of 'Iron Man 3'

It seemed like I was anticipating my trip to LA to attend the red carpet premiere of Iron Man 3 FOREVER, and then in the blink of an eye, the day had arrived. It was a busy day, filled with lots of hustle and bustle, but it was a day that I will never forget, and an evening that will live in my memories forever.

Before leaving the hotel, I took this selfie with Amy from MomSpark and Vera from Lady And The Blog. I love this picture!

After the other 24 bloggers and I were dressed and ready to go, we were making our way to the El Capitan Theatre to walk the red carpet right beside the stars of Iron Man 3 and other guests. In the photo below, we were making our way to the red carpet. I stopped for another quick photo with Amy.

It was a bit of a challenge to get photos on the red carpet, because we were being moved along pretty quickly to accomodate the flow of guests, but Amy snapped the photo of me during the rush below, thanks, Amy!

I was amazed with how beautiful the El Capitan Theater looked as we approached. All of the bright lights just added to the glamour of the night. It was a breathtaking experience!

We were able to tour the El Capitan on the following day, and I plan to post with lots of details if you’re interested in this gorgeous and historic Hollywood landmark.

This shot is a bit random, but, I had to include it. I happened to look up on the way into the premiere to catch a glimpse of Josh Bowman from the television show Revenge. I love the show, so, I had to include this cool picture!

I was also able to get a shot of Don Cheadle, one of the stars of Iron Man 3.

It was so fascinating to be able to see all of the fans lining the red carpet, screaming for the chance to get an autograph or photo of their favorite celebrities!

Of course, the man of the night was Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr. The fans were going wild by the time he showed up on the red carpet, and boy, did he make a great entrance!

When Robert Downey Jr. arrived in this gorgeous red Audi, the fans went wild, and the excitement really had a big effect on all of us who were in the area. Photo below is courtesy Disney.

Below you can see the stars of the film lined up for a photo before the premiere started, what an amazing group of people!

I also loved this shot, courtesy of Disney. Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr. are just adorable together, and they are both so fantastic in Iron Man 3!

So, all-in-all, having the chance to experience a Hollywood movie premiere was INCREDIBLE! It’s absolutely one of those experiences in my life that will hold a special place in my heart and in my memories. I never would have dreamed that I would have the chance to do something like this in my life, and I’m so glad that I took the leap and made the journey, it was absolutely worth it!

Oh, and you’re probably wondering… how was the movie? AMAZING! More on that later, but, you’re going to love it!

Totally jealous BTW that you saw Josh. I was walking right behind Emily, but didn’t catch him and I LOVE that show too!

Your photo of Don Cheadle is about one million times better than mine! I had to zoom way in to convince even my husband that it was actually him in my picture!

I love that picture of you, Amy and Vera, BTW. All three of you look radiant!

I’m so happy we met last week, and I wish I would have had a chance to sit by you at one point or another to get to know you better. Hopefully some day in the future :)

I am seeing Robert Downey Jr. all over these days! What an exciting opportunity for you and the rest of the bloggers to see him in person. I once ran into him at LAX. I was excited about that. If just catching a passing glimse! Glad you had fun.

A friend and I are wanting to attend a red carpet premiere in Hollywood in two weeks, and we were wanting to know how early you had to show up to see all of this. We were thinking really, really early – is this correct?

Thanks so much for the information!

WOW! That looks like an amazing experience! And, how cool is it of Marshall and Disney to bring in such big group of bloggers to experience it all?!

Well, I’m glad that everything worked out well for you bloggers. You guys got to walk the red carpet and be in the same theater as the celebrities. Maybe you even got a chance to chat with some of the celebrities.

I was one of the contest winners, and we got the shaft. We were relegated to the Chinese Theater across the street. There were no celebrities at all at that theater. Basically, I traveled 2000 miles from the Midwest, just to watch a movie in a theater with a bunch of nobodies. I could’ve done that in my hometown.

We love Revenge too, and I was RIGHT NEXT to Emily and Josh as I turned in my cell phone to security. I wish I had a photo standing so close to them, my daughter would have freaked!
