Dear Crissy

My messy Eater

Babies are so unique.

For instance, when Evan was smaller, he was pretty predictable when having meals in his high chair. He would eat until he was full, and then guzzle his sippy cup of fresh, cold milk. He might do a little whining to get “down walk” when he was finished eating.

Kara? She’s another story entirely.

Messy Eater

First off, the girl loves food. Before the meal arrives on her tray, she starts banging her feet and screaming in excitement. She LOVES to eat!

She goes at her food pretty fast and furious and then all at once, she turns on it. Yes, I said she turns on her food. What five seconds earlier was the BEST THING EVER suddenly becomes the WORST THING EVER. Food starts literally flying.

After she throws every remaining morsel of her dinner on the floor, she tosses her cup. If someone hasn’t removed her from the chair at this point, she starts smearing her meal through her hair.

Needless to say, she needs to be bathed often. Her eating habits are pretty intense!

Baby Magic Magical Madness Mom

I’ve been telling you about some of my favorite Baby Magic bath and body products in my role as a Baby Magic Magical Madness Mom brand ambassador for a few months now, and I wanted to introduce my new favorite product. Their new Soft Cotton Blooms scent is just perfect, and smells just like you would think a sweet little baby should smell. It reminds me of fresh clean laundry on a warm, breezy summer day (it’s actually a sweet lily and jasmine scent).

Baby Magic Soft Cotton Blooms Hair & Body Wash is a gentle, tear-free wash that will help replenish baby’s natural moisture and leave baby’s hair and skin touchably soft and smelling clean.

Kara also loves her post-bath lotion routine, and the Baby Magic Soft Cotton Blooms lotion is silky, smooth, and sweet-smelling.

I really love this new scent from Baby Magic, and I think you will to! One lucky Dear Crissy reader is going to win the products pictured below.

Update Giveaway has ended.

My son sounds just like your daughter. Haha, when he eats he eats until he’s full and then starts throwing his food everywhere, it’s crazy.

My son was a complete “neat” eater as a baby. Our 2nd baby is due in June & I’m so curious what similarities they’ll share and what differences there will be as well (just hoping the neat eater is a shared quality, lol)!

My daughter turns on her food as well. She will love it one minute and throw it aside the next.

My kids were all so different! My oldest son ate everything until he was 4, then mysteriously decided to stop eating things that were red (a phase that was very short-lived, thankfully). My youngest son ate everything til he was 3, then decided all he wanted to eat was macaroni-and-cheese and carrots … and pbj. He finally stopped being a picky eater at 19! Now he even eats sushi. My daughter ate nearly everything … except beets. She still won’t try them.

My son always hated to get messy when he ate. And he use to be a good eater, but now he is very picky and it’s hard to get him to sit and eat a whole meal.
