Oh, Nissan.
Nissan, Nissan, Nissan.
You loaned me this beautifully-curvaceous, roomy, feature-packed 2013 Nissan Pathfinder—which my family promptly fell in love with—and now you’ve left me alone with only my memories and a few pictures of the experience.
Granted, you’ve also left me with a deep aching urge to make the all-new Nissan Pathfinder our next family vehicle, so on that note. Bravo!

When the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder first arrived at my home for our 1-week loan, I opened the doors to find lots of goodies inside (including sleds for the kids!) to make our week even more fun. They even provided some warm hats for our entire family, as you can see, Kara was thrilled with hers.
The first thing we did?
We packed up the Pathfinder, then drove over the river and through the woods (it’s really sort of like that) to the kids’ Grandmother’s house! With lots of freshly fallen snow, it was a perfect day for a snowball fight.
One of the things I love most about the Nissan Pathfinder is how incredibly roomy it is.
It’s almost deceiving when you look at the vehicle from the outside, because the design is so sleek and compact, but a wow actually escaped my lips when I got behind the wheel for the first time and took note of the head room, and the room for the kids in the back.
I’m used to driving a bigger (and bulkier) SUV, and was amazed to find that the Nissan Pathfinder actually gives my family the same amount of leg room and storage in the back, yet, I don’t feel like I’m mounting a horse when I slide into the Pathfinder. Huge points there.
The Nissan Pathfinder is just pretty. I hate to get wrapped up in the book’s cover, but, the book has a nice cover, y’all.
From the wide chrome grille and large aerodynamic headlights, to the recessed front windshield wipers,to the enormous Dual Panorama Moonroof, the Pathfinder is gorgeous.
The interior? Equally lovely. In fact, there were so many details inside the car that I fell in love with. Hello—heated seats and steering wheel. Sigh. I am ruined for other cars now.
I was totally blown away by the class-exclusive Around View™ Monitor. In the photo below, you can see that not only are you able to see what’s behind the vehicle when you’re backing up, but you can see ALL AROUND the Pathfinder as well.
This little jewel of technology was new to me!
Speaking of family adventures and travel, I have to say that the Nissan Pathfinder completely spoiled Evan. The iPod® integration and tri-zone entertainment system with 2nd row head restraint-mounted DVD display screens made his travel experiences only about a million times more enjoyable.
Don’t take this the wrong way, because I love conversing with my 3-year-old, but to be able to sit behind the wheel of a car and drive, without being asked fifty-million random questions on the way (thanks to Evan being fully entertained with a DVD) was priceless. PRICELESS I tell you!

My husband and I decided to take Evan on a special little mini-excursion, which included a trip to Columbus to see Discover the Dinosaurs.
Evan watched Happy Feet on the trip, and I’m pretty sure that the drive was nearly as much fun as the dinosaur exhibit!
Because I live in a rural area with lots of curves and hills, it’s pretty easy for me to tell if I like the way a car drives. The Nissan Pathfinder provide a smooth but powerful drive, and I love the way it hugged the road. All-wheel drive is also an absolute necessity when you live in a rural area of Ohio like I do.
I can tell you that the Nissan Pathfinder was able to drive out of my steep and snowy driveway with no problem whatsoever! With All-Mode 4x4i, you have a system that’s capable on-road and off, and prepared to handle all types of weather.
In fact, the driving feels so nice and smooth that I felt like I was driving a tank when I went back to our current SUV. I definitely miss the comfort, style, and power of the Nissan Pathfinder.

We played in the snow, what little snow we have had. We also enjoyed the Festival of Lights with our 2 boys at the zoo.
I took my boyfriend sledding for the first time – he grew up in Hawaii so he never got to go as a kid. We both had a great time!

We went tubing for the first time. The kids had a blast. I think they enjoyed it but still prefer the control of skis.
We always go to our little cabin in the woods..just weiner roasts, rhino riding and fireside chats but we love it..:)
We dont really get a winter in Florida but we had the in laws come in from canada and spend a nice warm winter with us.
My daughter and I made “cookie ornaments” (salt dough ornaments) and traveled from AZ to NC by airplane to see our family on Christmas Day! A lot of fun. :)

Since my kids are grown and live across the country, the most fun thing we do is simply spend time together. I have the most beautiful daughters in the world, and am so proud of the women they’re becoming. We don’t need to go to theme parks or attractions, even though I live in Central Florida. It’s the quality time that’s the best.
I had fun on a cruise with my husband and my son had fun staying home alone…or was he???

I had one as a rental car once, loved it.
We did lots of crafts since we didn’t get any snow this year.
We went ice skating! We bought new sleds a few weeks ago. Used them once and then the snow melted away in a rain storm the next day. So glad we got to use them once. We’ll have more snow probably in Spring, that’s how our weather goes.
My love and I took a weekend vacation to the coast. It was quite amazing to get away.

My husband and I went with some friends and their almost three year old snow tubing around our area. Always a blast!

We traveled to Florida, visited Great Wolf Lodge, played in the snow and went skiing and snow boarding.
Santa brought tickets to a local ski resort for an afternoon of snow tubing. The ancient chair lift was terrifying!! None of my 4 kids knew how to use one, so I saddled my husband with our afraid-of-heights 11-year-old-daughter, put my youngest (5 years old) with me, and that left my 18-year-old to manage my 8-year-old. And the kids did awesome! We had an amazing time!
One fun thing we’ve been doing this winter is playing in the snow with our dog! He’s four, but this is his first year with us, so it’s been a lot of fun.

My family built “snow tunnels” in our backyard when we got a heavy snowfall recently. It was alot of fun!
We just visited a ice carving contest.
This winter was wonderful for the town-created skating pond! It is flooded by the fire department, and open late each day. The boys found an old hockey net, which they left at the pond (a smart move once it froze into the rink!) and there were many impromptu hockey games with whomever showed up! I was glad for my heated seats and four-wheel drive, as we trudged up to the pond and back again, I’ll tell you!

It was one of the coldest day this Winter and we bundled up in hats, scarves, and gloves. Had a great time. They were all decorated up for the holidays. A fun time was had by all.
Every February when the winter blahs really start to kick in we take our sons to an indoor water park. There is something so invigorating about wearing a bathing suit and looking out the windows at the snow! This year was Coco Key in Ct. About a 1 hour drive for us. It was smaller than ones we’ve been to in the past but the boys did not notice!
We played very little in the snow spent most of our time inside staying warm haha
We flew to CA to visit family
We’ve spent a lot of time sipping hot cocoa and enjoying family movies and in January we also visited the grandparents who had snow! Thanks for the chance to win!

It snow in Myrtle Beach, SC which is very rare for our area. So we watched the snow fall fom our porch and then let our 8 year old play since he does not get to do that ever!
The next morning I took pictures of him making snow angels, throwing snow ball and just having fun.

I didn’t get to have fun this winter, I am studying for the PE exam.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to do anything fun. My daughter lives on the east coast, my son lives on the west coast. I’m in the Midwest going to school. That isn’t fun! My daughter has some fun things going on though. Her youngest had his first snow to play in. Great photos!!!
