Dear Crissy - Life, blogged.

Nivea lotion beach ready

nivea lotion

Can you believe that we’re already approaching mid-July? Summer is slipping through our fingers like sand at the beach. Luckily, we still have some time left to enjoy the beach! I love Nivea lotion, and the brand now has a collection of great new products that will help get your skin in gear for a day at the beach.

NIVEA Honeydew & Pearls Hydrating Shower Gel: Talk about a beach-perfect scent! This shower gel smells delicious and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. This product is definitely going on my list of summer favorites.

NIVEA Skin Firming Body Lotion with Q10 and Hydra IQ:Formulated with Co-Enzyme Q10 Complex, NIVEA Skin Firming Body Lotion is proven to provide firmer, More resilient skin, and at this phase in my life that’s definitely a selling point for me. I love skin firming products, and this rich lotion makes my skin feel spectacular.

NIVEA Sun Kissed Radiant Skin:I try to protect my skin from the sun, but really love that sun-kissed glow. NIVEA Sun Kissed Radiant Skin gives my skin that summery, healthy glow within just 5 days. Love it!

NIVEA Kiss of Protection Lip Care: You can’t forget to protect your lips from the sun! Nivea Kis of Protection Lip Care offers 30 spf protection in a silky smooth stick that never leaves your lips feeling sticky. I love that I can have the moisture I love and that protection from the sun’s damaging rays. My lips are one of my best features, and I want to keep them looking and feeling as soft as possible.

Lulu Neon Barrel Duffel Bag : Neon canvas fashions a trendy carryall with a cool barrel shape and bright zigzag handles. I plan to use this as a tote to carry with me to the pool this summer because it holds a lot and looks super cute!

To get beach ready… put your aloe in the fridge, then when you get home with a little burn the aloe is nice and cold to put on.

Put your sunscreen on about 15 minutes before you head out to the beach so it has time to sink in and them apply liberally as directed on the bottle. Remember your feet, your ears, the back of your neck and under your arms.

Getting ready beach tip: Is protection. Protect your skin by applying sunscreen before you head to the beach, reapply when you arrive at the beach and keep reapplying every to hours. Also protect your hair buy applying conditioner to your hair before you head out to the beach. Also shower as soon as you get home, if you can rinse yourself off at the beach even better.

My best beach tip would be…drumroll please…exfoilate the night before! Why? Well most people know that you should avoid shaving right before you hit the beach, salt water stings, ingrown hairs, yada, yada, yada. The same holds true for exfoilation…I’ve learned this hard way ;0 I find my skin is smoother, suncreen glides on easier and no stingy pores. It also helps your legs look good.

Make sure that you pack lot’s of cold water and meat tenderizer. You’ll need the water for when you’ve been at the beach for a while. The sun can just take the energy right out of you! You will need the meat tenderizer just in case you have a run in with a jellyfish. You can run the meat tenderizer on the sting and you’ll feel much better!

the day you plan to go to the beach drink a lot of water with breakfast and before you get dress rub down with sunscreen. Then When you put your suit on or arrive at the beach rub down with sunscreen again. Then set a timer that goes off every 60-80 mins and rub down with sunscreen again. The people that are very sun sensitive like me this is the time to put on your sun blocking clothing long sleeves and either a long skirt or pants. and hat so that you do not burn.
