I need a new mattress because I hurt my shoulder and my chiropractor told me to switch to a firmer mattress. Problem is our new mattress is too firm and we can’t afford a new mattress. Hubs wants to try for #2 and I’m dreading having to sleep on my side for 7 months! I Would love to be able to sleep one my side again without my whole back aching. While I would love to have this, I would love more to get it for my Mom. She cannot lie down to sleep and has to sleep in a recliner and gets skin breakdowns because of the pressure. Not good, being that she is only 54. But it would be amazing to be able to give this to her.

Why I need to win!
I live in Hawaii on a limited income and my current mattress is molding away underneath me. I’ve got it covered up, but the mold creeps up the sides of the sheets! Also, my b/f has back problems and a “real bed” would entice him to stay over more often. Beds are important to the success of a relationship, as you know.

We are sleeping on a hand me down mattress, but my husband’s back is paying the price. He wears a 25 lb gun belt that causes back spasms and he cannot get a restful nights sleep.

We are military and had a nice Tempurpedic until our last move from Alaska to Oklahoma. The movers did not ship it flat as they were instructed to do. Our mattress is only about 10 years old, but I had to buy a bargain mattress because we were so far in debt with just no money to spare. My husband and I both have back issues, and we’ve talked about really needing to get a good mattress. We’ve priced them recently only to find out a good mattress will require us to save up for at least a year before we can think about buying one. I have a curvature of the spine, or scoliosis. I wore a back brace 23 hours a day for a year when I was 15 years old. An awful way to spend your junior year of high school. I thought that the mild deformity (one hip is misshapen and sticks out further than the other) and the back brace were the worst things I would have to go through with my back. No one told me that when I would get older I would live with chronic pain. Every day is difficult. My whole body hurts. Because of the curve, some muscles are pulled on more than others, leaving some of them to atrophy. So night time is the only relief I get. The problem with that is my mattress is soft and unsupportive. So instead of recuperating from my day, I end up in pain all night as well. I really, really need a good bed. If I could just get a comfortable nights sleep, I could at least have a better day time. I would be able to play with my kids, get things done and not be so cranky and irritable. It would improve my quality of life and my family’s immensely. Thank you for this chance :-)

My boyfriend has herniated disks in his neck and upper back. It is too risky to do surgery for the ones in his upper back so he is in constant pain. I wish our matterss was more comfortable for him!

It would be nice to wake up without my hips burning. Our mattress hurts my boyfriend’s back as well. It is worse when we sleep in the bed at the same time. We have considered temperpedic, but since we both sleep hot they really are not an option for us. This mattress would be the perfect alternative to that!

I have suffered with back problems for the last 5-6 years of my life. I’m only 35 years old & I wake up feeling like I’m about 55. I danced from the time I was 2 1/2 until college & that was my major. I finally found out that I have 3to disc that are herniated or bulging, however my S1 the 1a u sit on all day is the worst. In November I had to have 2 epidurals on that 1 area & still have daily pain in that area.This mattress sounds like a dream come true for me & I would LOVE to win & see if it helps my back at all!! My husband and I had an old hand me down mattress that was who knows how old until a recent move from Hawaii to the mainland. There was no way we could talk ourselves into bringing it with us into a new home. I really need this mattress because I’ve been sleeping on a 2nd hand bed for 3yrs now, and can’t be flipped. It only has one fabric side, so as you can imagine it has a lot of wear on the one side and it’s pretty much impossible to sleep anywhere but the indents that have been made. It’s a queen size mattress that rest on top of a full size box spring so it hang over uncomfortably. This would be awesome to win.
