Last week I wrote a bit about the ways I refresh and re-energize myself during my busy days as a work-at-home mother.
Recently, I was asked to try Starbucks Refreshers™ Sparkling Beverages, made with green coffee extract for a natural boost of energy. My husband and I tried the Raspberry Pomegranate, Strawberry Lemonade and Orange Melon flavors.
I had never heard of green coffee extract, but anything that can give me a little extra boost sounds appealing to me. I tend to get really tired midday, so there are times when I would definitely love to have something to grab that might offer a pick-me-up.
To be honest, I typically don’t go for energy drinks. I don’t usually like the flavor. However, what I do go for are Starbucks brand products. I almost always love them, so I had high hopes when trying the Starbucks Refreshers.
I frist tried the Raspberry Pomegranate, and I was pleasantly surprised by how refreshing it really was. The taste was sweet (but not too sweet), and it had a cool, clean, crisp flavor. My husband ended up taking the Orange Melon and Strawberry Lemonade drinks with him to work for an early morning boost, and he’s already asked me to pick up more of this product in the grocery store!
So, the verdict? These drinks are yummy. I’m not sure I really noticed any BOOST, but I think it might take a freight train of coffee to give me a noticeable boost. My husband definitely said they helped him start his day with more energy.
