When I see Evan running, jumping, and being active, I can’t help but envision him a few years from now playing on a school sports team. With his interest in being outdoors and having fun, I can almost guarantee that he’ll show some interest in team sports as he matures, and when he does, it is certainly a spark that his father and I will nurture.

There are so many positive benefits to children becoming involved in team sports. From gaining a sense of independence, to learning to teamwork, and even learning how to cope and respond to those times in life when we don’t win–team sports are a fantastic way for children to gain valuable life lessons in a safe environment.
