Hand washing video for kids

When you have a child, it’s like you become immediately a million times more aware of dirt, germs, and communicable. Needless to say, teaching children good hand washing habits is very important, particularly when you know that those cute little dirty hands are probably on a straight path to your kid’s mouth! Makes me shiver just thinking about it!

Granted, kids will get dirty, and germs and illness are a part of life, but hand washing can do so much to promote good health. Luckily, Evan loves his hand washing routine, which includes him taking his step stool to the sink, and pumping a little soap into his own hand before scrubbing.

Softsoap has created a really fun, and supremely catchy video that might inspire your kiddo to “pump the pump” and wash his or her hands more often. Evan danced all over the living room when I played this for the first time.

Upon opening, we see “The Dirties” a rock-band of germs performing in a stadium of raucous fans. The irresistibly catchy chorus of “pump the pump” reminds kids of occasions when it is necessary to wash their hands. Midway through the song, the band is transformed into “The Cleanies” by the power of soap.
