First off, while I received a pink camera for review, the winner of this giveaway will receive one in black, which makes it perfect as a Father’s Day gift! The Casio Exilim EX-S8 offers 12.1 Megapixels and a 4X zoom in an nice, thin body, measuring only 0.78″. The first thing that struck me after inserting the battery and memory card in this camera, was how amazingly lightweight it is. I have been using a competitor’s point and shoot for a few years now, and it really feels like a brick compared to the Casio EX-S8. My thoughts went immediately to how easy and convenient this camera will be to carry with me in my purse, diaper bag, or even in my pocket. That said, while the camera is nice and light, it has a solid and sturdy feel.

I found this camera very easy to use, with a bright, large display, clearly marked controls, and easy to follow menus. As a professional photographer, I find it pretty simple to become quickly familiar with point and shoot cameras, but I can really say that the Casio EX-S8 is so simple to use that even a complete novice should be able to capture great images in virtually no time.

This is a sleek, stylish, and functional little digital camera that just about anyone will find fun to use, but I really do think that this model is great as a Father’s Day Gift. It is small, built-well, and again, light, so it will be very easy for a man to carry comfortably in his pocket. In fact, my dad liked this camera so much, I decided to give it to him! Yes, my review model is pink, and my dad enjoyed playing with it so much that he was perfectly fine overlooking this fact, haha!

Oh, and my parents love to take video of my son, so the YouTube Capture Mode makes it so easy to record video at the perfect settings for online sharing.
