Hello Windows Phone 8!
In a way it seems like it was just yesterday that I was getting my first cell phone. It was big, clunky, and the extent of its technology allowed it to make and receive calls, and that’s all!
Cell phones have come a long way, and I always love having the opportunity to get my tech-hungry hands on the latest and greatest. As a fan of Windows Phone (I’ve been using a Nokia Lumia 900 for about 6 months), I was more than excited to receive an Windows Phone 8x by HTC to check out the reinvented Windows Phone 8.
The thing I love most about Windows Phone 8 is the beautiful start screen and the ability to fully customize my live tiles and live apps.
As a busy mom, I have very little time to navigate through unnecessary screens on my cell phone. When I pull my phone out of my bag, I want to see if I have any email, voice messages or Facebook updates at a glance. This saves me so much time!
If you’re a parent, you will love the Kid’s Corner, which will give your child their own special access area to play games and use apps. The best part? Your child is corralled into the Kid’s Corner, and they can’t access the other areas of your phone. Awesome, right?
There are a lot of great apps available for Windows Phone 8, and in a few weeks, I’ll be sharing my experience with a great new app called How We Met. All of our relationships with friends are unique, and this app helps tell that special story.
Windows Phone 8 is intuitive and gorgeous. You know, gorgeous is important, too! You’ll get used to the unique navigation (horizontal scrolling) in about 5 minutes, and once you try it, you’ll find that your previous cell phone was really sort of clunky all along.
Stay tuned for more about my experiences with Windows Phone 8!
Life is busy, we all find ways to make the most out of our time.
The new Windows Phone is reinvented around you including features like Live Tiles, Live Apps, Kid’s Corner, and SkyDrive, making it easy for you to personalize your phone how you want it. Now it is easier than ever to stay in touch with what matters most.
