I love summer break with the kids. It’s fun to spend that extra time with them outside in the sun, but I also love the relaxed evenings when I can bring them into the kitchen with me to help with dinner.
My daughter, Kara, recently helped me make a delicious (and super easy) bacon cheeseburger pizza with the help of Ragú! We shared some truly saucesome moments cooking together and I’m pretty sure she’s on the road to being a chef!
The idea for this pizza came from the Ragú website. My husband and kids are meatlovers, so we adapted Ragú’s Chunky Gardenstyle Pizza recipe to meet (no pun intended!) our carnivorous preferences!
I mean come on… delicious Ragú sauce, plus bacon, plus beef and cheddar CHEESE? It’s a recipe for family dinner success.
It was so sweet to have Kara with me in the kitchen. Her enthusiasm for cooking was so evident as she help me spread the sauce and add the toppings to the pizza.
Even on nights when I don’t have a helper in the kitchen, Ragú makes getting a home cooked meal on the table easier and as a busy mom, I really appreciate that.
Our bacon cheeseburger pizza turned was incredible. It was so flavorful, crispy and perfectly cheesy. It was the perfect Friday night meal.
It’s rare that I cook a meal that every single member of the family will happily eat, but this pizza was a big winner and that means I’ll be adding it to our regular dinner routine.
I plan to mix it up by using different topping combinations. There are so many possibilities with this recipe from Ragú!

- 1 (10-in.) prebaked thin pizza crust 1 cup Ragú® Sauce 1/2 lb. extra lean ground beef, browned and drained 3 slices cooked bacon, crumbled 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1. Preheat oven to 425°.
2. Brown 1/2 pound ground beef and drain, set aside. Cook bacon (precooked bacon heated in microwave works well) crumble and set aside.
3. Arrange pizza crust on ungreased baking sheet. Evenly spread Sauce on crust, then top with ground beef, cheese and bacon. Bake 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
