Clementine Banana Smoothie
I never get tired of making smoothies and I love using clementines when they’re in season. This clementine banana smoothie is sweet, delicious and loaded with cold and flu fighting vitamin C!
Clementine Banana Smoothie
I’ve been battling a virus for the past week, so I wanted to make a citrus smoothie to get a little extra vitamin C into my system.
I swear, I catch every single bug that the kids bring home from school, so my immune system can use as much support by way of wholesome, healthy foods as it can get!
I’ve used orange juice in smoothies like this fruity breakfast smoothie in the past, but since I had a whole bunch of clementines that I needed to use I decided to peel two of them for my clementine banana smoothie.

I absolutely love clementines (they are so wonderfully sweet), and usually buy a bag of them every week during the winter months. Even though we eat a lot of them, there are still some weeks when I end up throwing away a couple of them because I didn’t get to them before they went bad. Using clementines in your smoothies at the end of the week is a great way to use them in a delicious way.
One tip, if you haven’t invested in a premium blender and you’re making smoothies on the regular, I highly recommend this Vitamix Blender with to-go smoothie cup. I’m also totally loving these re-usable stainless steel straws for my smoothies!
This recipe makes two small smoothies or one big smoothie. I love the flavor of this recipe so much that I’m already thinking about making ice pops with it this summer.

This bright, sunny smoothie is sweet and delicious.
Ingredients
- 2 bananas
- 2 clementines
- 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 cup cold milk
- 1 cup ice
Instructions

Hi, my freezer isn’t very spacious so I rarely have ice in it. What would happen to the consistency if I left out ice?
do you peel the clementines first
Hi Karen, yes, always peel citrus fruits before blending.
Chrissy, these smoothies look so good, I will try making one tomorrow morning
For my breakfast. It is going to hard to wait until the morning.
