How do you find balance?
On a day like today, I almost have to laugh at the word balance. I’ve been dealing with a sick, cranky 2-year-old all week, and at 27-weeks-pregnant, I am beyond exhausted.
In fact, there are even moments during the chaos when I feel like I could really just explode, and I hate that I have resorted to yelling more than a few times.
Motherhood can be so challenging at times. As a work-at-home-mom, I am always looking for ways to find balance, and felt really inspired when I read this quote on Cerra earlier this week.
I am embracing myself and others in love and compassion. I find this really calming, and in those moments when I just want to scream (honestly, those moments have been frequent this week), it’s good to remember to take a deep breath, pause, and embrace myselfand others with loving kindness.
Finding balance is not easy, but it’s definitely worth a little time and effort. It is a process, and I feel like the older I get, and the more experiences life brings me, the closer I get to a place that is healthy, happy, and grounded in love.
