Kid approves of the warm weather

I don’t think I have ever been more excited for warm weather to arrive.

The milder temperatures felt so good today, and I am really excited about the coming summer months. As Evan nears two-years-old, there are just so many more fun things he’ll be able to do. I’ve been thinking about a sand box all week, and I hope I can find a nice one locally.

Also, on a side note, I think this is the big day. While it doesn’t really look like it in this picture, Evan’s hair is getting stringy and unruly. I think today is the day he gets his first haircut. My mom is a stylist, so he’ll be receiving his first little trim in mamaw’s kitchen salon.

I really feel like maybe I’ve been in a state of avoidance with the first haircut. Sigh.

  3. I love your blog because my little guy is just about the same age. He’s got tons of hair, but we let it grow so long because of the same feelings you’re having right now. The first time we cut just his bangs and let the back grow for a few months. It just got too scraggly, scruffy so finally we bit the bullet and gave him sort of a bowl cut. To our welcome surprise, he was even cuter after the haircut. We really didn’t think that could happen ;). I know Evan is just about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen, but do not fear he too will capture even more of your heart after Mawmaw’s done snippin’.

  4. Oh I remember my son’s first haircut!! He’s 9 now, but I still remember it because it broke my heart! It meant he was growing up….I’m so over that now. : ) He likes it freshly cut because then he doesn’t have to brush hardly at all. Good luck! At least your mom gets to do the first one. That’s got to make her feel good! : ) Have a good rest of your day!
