This is one of my favorite DIY lip balm recipes, and will leave your kisser feeling so soft. This DIY lemongrass lip balm recipe features some ultra-moisturizing ingredients including coconut oil, vitamin E oil and a secret kick–lemongrass oil!
In my pre-mommy days I was a serious shimmery lip gloss user. It didn’t have to be a wild color or filled with glitter, maybe just a tint and a bit glossy. It left me feeling put-together an honestly, rather lady like.
Over time, I’ve grown sensitive to just about all chemical fragrances and additives. With lip gloss, this expanded to the way they would taste until finally I couldn’t bring myself to use even things labeled as natural. Luckily, with a little experimentation, I started developing my own wonderful homemade lip balm recipes, and I wanted to share one of my favorites, this easy-to-make lemongrass lip balm recipe.
I am thrilled with this lemongrass lip balm recipe! It’s light and fresh while still a little glossy and offers a totally-natural zing with the lemongrass essential oil.
The coconut oil and vitamin E oil are moisturizing, nourishing, protective and healing so you can feel great about wearing this lemongrass lip balm all day.
And for not being pumped with additives this lemongrass lip balm, it really lasts quite a long time on your lips!
It can be so tough to get on top of a dry-lip problem, especially during the harsh and cold winter months. Using a natural lip balm that you make at home is a great solution because you know exactly what you’re putting on your lips. Plus, homemade lip balm recipes are actually quite easy to follow!

Remove from the heat and add in the vitamin e oil and essential oil, stir thoroughly and then quickly start to fill the containers. Let rest while they set up and harden, this will likely only take 5 to 10 minutes depending on the size of your containers.
