I really hit the mom-jackpot. Is the mom-jackpot a thing? It’s probably not a thing, but I certainly feel lucky to have been cosmically placed with the woman I call mom. She’s a winner and I’m grateful to have her.
The clichés ring true in our relationship. We really are best friends, and I can only hope to have such a special bond with my own kids as they grow into adults. I recently hired my mom as my assistant, so we get to spend a lot of time together throughout the work week.
When I saw a trailer for the upcoming film Mother’s Day, I knew immediately that it was a film both my mom and I would enjoy. A big-hearted comedy, Mother’s Day celebrates mothers everywhere and reminds us to embrace the ones we love. I found myself smiling and laughing by the end of the trailer, which is always a good sign that a movie will be fantastic!
The star-studded comedy stars Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis. I am loving this cast!
I love movies that are funny, warm and full of emotion! In fact, I’m really excited about this movie because I’m planning a special day for my mom this Mother’s Day. Even though I see my mom several times a week, we rarely take time to just relax and have fun together.
I think it’s the plight of mothers to work too much and to focus most of their energies into taking care of others. Mother’s Day really is a wonderful time to press pause on life’s hustle and bustle to honor our mothers.
As a mother myself, it’s also a good excuse to treat myself. Sure, I love the flowers that my children pick for me and the sweet cards they make, but let’s face it, mama needs a day off and I treat myself to one each and every Mother’s Day!
