Dear Crissy

Nearing my third trimester

I can’t believe that in just a few short days, I will be entering my third trimester. I shared the news of my pregnancy with all of you at just 4 weeks, and at that time, October seemed like an eternity away.

Yet, here we are on the last day of September, and boy, do I have a belly to show for it! Why am I not showing you my belly, you might ask? Well, that’s a post for another day. I could easily fall into a guilt trip about not documenting this pregnancy in photos, but to be honest, I just feel too fat and unattractive. There, I said it.

You know, I really can’t catch a break this pregnancy. Evan has had croup this week, and I have been suffering with a terrible sinus infection and sore throat.

My nausea is definitely improved from the first and second trimesters, but by golly, I still get sick almost every single day.

I’m also starting to have some of those later-in-pregnancy aches and pains that we all know and love, including some intense lower back pain and pelvic pressure. Most of my back pain comes at night when I should be able to get some much needed rest.

At 27 weeks, I am pretty sure that my husband and I have finally agreed on a baby name. Yes, you heard that right. FINALLY! For some reason, I am feeling strangely protective of the name. Maybe it’s just an attempt to hold onto some little secret from my final pregnancy. It’s been a tough road, but kind of sad that I won’t be going through any of it again.

Anyone want to wager a guess at baby girl’s name?

  1. Congrats on making it this far! I was sick my whole pregnancy with one of my pregnancies and it was rough. Before you know it you’ll have that sweet baby girl in your arms. I would imagine it will go fast now with the holidays coming up.

  2. Mia? Adele? Paige? (jk, on that last one;)

  3. So glad you guys finally agreed! I can’t wait to hear it when you’re ready to announce. I’m not even going to wager to guess. Sorry that you still get sick every day. :(

  4. We are keeping the name a secret too, my mother in law made the mistake of telling us her thoughts on a name we picked out, so now we are just waiting until the baby is born to reveal the name.

  5. Now why is it that is seems like your pregnancy just flew by but mine was a grueling, agonizing pit of slowness and snails?!?!

Congrats on making it to the 3rd trimester, you can just about see the corner that you have to waddle pass to get the spot where you can see the FINISH LINE, am I right??? ^_^

Yay for deciding on the name, and yes, keep it a secret until the very end because it’ll make it even more special!

Ahh, the pelvic pressure, a friend you can surely do without!
