Savoring A Well Yes! Moment

Last night after scrolling through Facebook and seeing the elaborate Valentine’s Day boxes constructed by my friends for their kids’ school parties, I felt a pang of inadequacy and then panic because I’ve been so busy this week that I totally forgot about Valentine’s Day!

I used to put a lot of pressure on myself to be the perfect mom, but I want to set the record straight about a few things for all of you.

I work hard. I do the best I can. I love my kids with my whole heart, but I’m not always the mom who has the bandwidth to cook a fancy dinner from scratch or make an award-winning Valentine’s Day box and I’m OK with that.

Sometimes we just need to embrace a Well Yes! Moment where we can and give ourselves a break for everything else.

For instance, when it comes to mealtimes, one easy choice is new Well Yes! soups from Campbell Soup Company.

Well Yes! is a new product line of ready-to-serve soups made with clean, simple and nutritious ingredients.

I’m loving this soup because when I open a can, I can easily see that it’s loaded with real ingredients like kale, lentils, black beans, chickpeas and quinoa.

These aren’t ingredients I’m accustomed to seeing in a can of soup!

Well Yes! is available in nine flavors including: Black Bean with Red Quinoa Soup, Chicken Noodle Soup, Hearty Lentil with Vegetables Soup, Hearty Tomato with Toasted Barley Soup, Italian Vegetable with Farro Soup, Minestrone with Kale Soup, Roasted Chicken with Wild Rice Soup, Sweet Potato Corn Chowder and Tomato Carrot Bisque.

Kara really loves the Well Yes! Roasted Chicken with Wild Rice and I love knowing she’s filling her belly with clean, simple, real food.

My favorite flavor is the Tomato Carrot Bisque. It reminds me of the homemade tomato bisque that my mom used to make when I was a kid.

While I admit that I’m not Wonder Mom, I do try to take advantage of special times with my kids.

I had the opportunity to spend a little one-on-one time with Kara last week, so I put my work away for a while and we made a fun craft together.

The kids have been a little bummed by our lack of snowfall this year, so we decided to create our own winter wonderland inside.

We painted some coffee filters and after they dried, cut them into snowflakes using scissors and a hole punch. It was such an easy, simple little craft but it really allowed us to have some special time together.

After we unfolded our colorful snowflakes we taped them all over the house.

Kara starts Kindergarten next year and I know that we’ll have fewer opportunities to enjoy lazy afternoons like this in the future.

Even though life can get chaotic, I love knowing that I can still capture a small, Well Yes! Moment that’s meaningful for my family.
