Summertime smoothie bowl recipe
A few golden yellow small tomatoes
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
1.5 cups of frozen fruit mix, I used pineapple and mango
splash of warm water
For the topping:
1 tablespoon hemp hearts
1 tablespoon chia seeds
½ teaspoon edible/food grade lavender
a few edible violets
(I picked these up at our local farmers market. Not all flowers are edible so do be sure to double check before you consume anything from your garden or flowers that you might find along your way).
Run the warm over the frozen fruit and let it sit for a few minutes in your blender before whipping together with the coconut oil and tomatoes. If you don’t have quite enough time or are trying to sneak in some of the extra healthy stuff you can always add the chia seeds and hemp hearts to the smoothie right now. Blend everything together until you have a thick but smooth texture. Pour into your favorite bowl, if you’ve waited, you can add the toppings at this point and enjoy right away.
