Thank you

Thank You

I’m a little late with this, but let’s face it, I’m running a little late in most areas of my life! I really just want to wish all of you a happy New Year and to say thank you for reading!

I’ve been blogging for a long time and many things have change. My blog has changed, my readership has changed and I have changed. In 2015, I would like to get back to basics and focus more on what started all of this—simple, personal posts.

As conversations continue to shift toward social media, there are moments when I feel a little lonely here. If you’re ever on the fence about leaving a comment, please do! It’s amazing how those little flashes of interaction can inspire me to keep going forward with this blog.

I have many new things planned for Dear Crissy in 2015. Look for a new design which will be launching within the next week, as well as some fresh content from a wonderful new contributor.

I hope you all had a great holiday and again, I want to thank you for reading, sharing and being a friend! One of my resolutions for 2015 is to get back to basics and connect more with my readers.

What are your resolutions for 2015?

If you enjoyed this post, please follow me on Instagram and don't forget to say hello!

  1. Quit beating myself up for not being it “ALL”. . It’s the hardest goal for me because of chronic stuff going on. Hoping to journal to have some checks and balances on my ‘tude. I find inspiration on blogs and am excited to check in tonight and see how you are going back to basics…the heart of your blog.  Happy 2015 to you and to all who find themselves within these goals (self promises). Change is tough but very liberating in the end.

  2. I’ve pick “present” as my word for the year… because really all we have in this life is the present moment. I’m also going through a bit of a blog-change as well, and shifting more towards my life & family & less about sponsored posts & content. And, most of all, I’m using it as an outlet to write when I feel inspired to write instead of trying to get a certain number of posts up each week. It feels good to let go of the stress of blogging. :)

  3. I want to sys yor blog gives me much inspiration about trying new spices and vegetables that I never thought to use together. I have tried a few of your many recipes that I have printed out but as I am getting and receiving many recipes from the many food blogs that I signed up for. You do a get job. Thank you for the many recipes that you post.

  4. To say “no” more often. I realize I can’t do it all. I plan to focus on the things that bring me joy.

  5. Hi Chrissy…..I am blocked from your twitter feed and would like to know what I did to cause this.

    Thank you for your time.

    • Hey Michele, I don’t block people myself, but sometimes I use Twitter “tools” to try to remove spam and fake followers. Sometimes people who post a lot of contest and sweepstakes are mistakenly deemed by these tools as spammers and they are removed/blocked. It wasn’t intentional, promise! :) If you want to reply with your Twitter handle I can remove the block. Thanks!

  6. my new year’s resolution is to be stronger. Keep to what I say and be stronger. 2014 was a big year for me, I started nursing school (while working fulltime), turned 40 and had my first baby. For 2015, I want to be stronger and pay as much attention to my daughter as she needs, do well at my job, and pass nursing school!!

  7. Mine is to try and get organized and to eat healthier for me and my family!
