Ingredients

  • 4 cans cut green beans drained (14.5 oz each)
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon chopped
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce low sodium
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Cook the chopped bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Set the bacon aside, keeping a little of the drippings if you want extra flavor.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper until the mixture is smooth.
  • Add the drained green beans and cooked bacon to the baking dish. Pour the glaze over the top and stir gently to coat everything evenly.
  • Bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes. Stir once halfway through to help the glaze thicken and coat the beans.
  • Let the dish rest for about 5 minutes before serving so the glaze can set slightly.
