Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese plus 2 tablespoons for garnish
  • ¾ cup chopped cooked bacon about 10 slices
  • ½ cup chopped green onions plus 1 tablespoon for garnish
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • In a medium mixing bowl, stir the cream cheese and mayonnaise together until smooth.
  • Stir in the cheddar, bacon and green onions.
  • Add the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt and pepper, and stir until everything is mixed in.
  • Spoon the dip into a serving bowl, cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  • Sprinkle with the extra cheddar and green onions, then serve with crackers, chips or veggies.

Notes

Cream cheese: Let it soften on the counter first so the dip stirs up smooth with no lumps.
Make ahead: Make it up to 1 day ahead and keep it covered in the fridge. Add the garnish right before serving.
Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days. Don't freeze it, because the creamy base turns watery and grainy when it thaws.
