  1. I have a sneaky suspicion that cocktail sausages in the US and the UK are two very different things. UK cocktail sausages aren’t usually smoked, and don’t usually have the same texture as smoked hotdogs/frankfurters. Would the recipe work if I used frankfurters (like smoked and tinned hotdogs) cut up into 1½ inch lengths instead?

  2. I just put my small package of sausages in the crock pot with a bottle of honey glazed barbecue sauce and nothing else. Always gone very fast.

  3. Linda Carroll says:

I have served a large crockpot of cocktail sausages in beer and barbecue sauce as an appetizer on the Christmas snack table for many years, and they are always wiped out in quick order! Great for game days as well.

  4. I’m going to make these for Christmas dinner but what chili sauce do you use?

  5. Shirley Jones says:

I use mint jelly and mustard combined and put the weenies in it and heat up.

  6. Martha Blair says:

How big of a pkg. for the smokies?

    1. Good question. I’m not sure why I didn’t have that in the recipe! I used 2 14-oz packages but a 28 oz. package or 2 16-oz packages would be fine too. Really depends on which brand you get, they come in a few different sizes! :)
